    3 coats of base coat done. Have a few drips to take care of and then I’ll clear it. I’m pretty happy overall with the rattle cans!

    Thanks for the positive thoughts. I won’t lie, the paint job is definitely not perfect, however once I am done I will he slightly more experienced as far as paint and body.

    I’m gettin there. By no means is this perfect. There will be light spots and runs but I’ll be okay with it knowing that I know what’s underneath it all.

    The cars in the background are neighbors cars as well as my own. And yes this far I’ve been painting outside on the steeet. That may change soon. I may start painting inside my garage although very little room to do so.

    Well not as far along as I thought I’d get. Sanded down the driver side fender to bare metal. Sprayed self etching primer. That is all.

    Is it perfect? No. Are here tiger stripes? Yes. Did bugs get in it because I painted outside? Yes. BUT I tried my best. My first time painting. I took my time. I think it came out okay. Maybe ten footer....

    Update on first panel painted. Hood has been sanded at 220, 320 epoxy primered rattle can, wet sanded 400 then Rust-Oleum blues two coats, then 3 coats of rattle can 2k clear coat. Thoughts everyone? Should I continue with the rest of the car?

    I appreciate all the advice! I am doing this on the cheap. I am not a body paint guy. Yes, I am spray painting the entire car with spray cans. And no, I am not investing hundreds or thousands of dollars in this project. I just want a ten footer paint job that I will not worry about...

    Any suggestions on paint guns? there are lots and lots of options and I’m not sure if the difference/what I’ll need for my car.
