Wanted: RPM Air Gap or Performer RPM

Money and goods are making the >2200 mile journeys in opposite directions now between Jim and I. Thanks for stepping up quickly and helping out "anotherAbodyfan" and I with this endeavour.

Wanted: RPM Air Gap or Performer RPM

I am inclined to agree with "physixx" about selling/shipping on our respective sides of the border. "anotherAbodyfan" can take advantage of the more local access to the 7576 intake. JD340 and I have exchanged a few e-mails already regarding his goods. This way, everybody can get what they...

    Wanted: 7-1/4 Sure-Grip for '68

Kudos and many thanks to demon seed for a 7.25 reference in another thread. A full Sure Grip (2.76:1) rear end has been brought up to his friend Dean in the Okotoks area. I will try to make the trip this long weekend to retrieve it. The FABO material continuum has come through. Domo Arigato...

    Thunder AVS or Performer carbs?

I just missed out on a chance to bid on a 650 cfm Thunder AVS with minimal run time on it. Is there anyone else wanting to part with one of these (or perhaps the 500 cfm version of the Thunder)? How about any new or nearly new Performer units (up to 750 cfm) in excellent condition? Please...

Wanted: RPM Air Gap or Performer RPM

If anyone has an RPM Air Gap (7576x) or Performer RPM (7176x), I have a 318 to be mated with 340 heads that would provide a good home. My preference would be for the Air Gap (cool looking and compared in detail to Performer RPM in other threads) but I will not specifically shy away from the...

    Wanted: 7-1/4 Sure-Grip for '68

I may have found one only an hour's drive away that I may acquire this weekend so I advised Gord that I would seek out that one first. Kelowna is a bit more of a haul from here. Thanks for putting me in touch!

Max height under '68 Barracuda hood

I took another look at Summit and verified that K&N has 1-1/4" dedicated, dropped air cleaner bases, just as you suggested. More surprising is that Proform also has the 66808 with an advertised drop of 2-1/4" for about the same cost. Between the two choices, I will get into plenty of trouble.

Max height under '68 Barracuda hood

I am only in the planning stage; that is the hazard of being an engineer. No parts have been bought yet but I have to be very careful because nearly everything will have to come from the US up here to Canuckistan, meaning high shipping costs and currency exchange. Planning and gathering...

    Wanted: 7-1/4 Sure-Grip for '68

    1) want to minimize costs (ie: no need to change drive shaft and other components) 2) want to maintain existing bolt pattern for the wheels (see #1 above) 3) have completely replaced brakes on existing unit and do not want to have wasted the time or cash 4) NO plans to race the car at all. An...

    Wanted: 7-1/4 Sure-Grip for '68

Is this one in Kelowna? Gord from Kelowna contacted me yesterday after getting a tip and signing up to the FABO site.

Max height under '68 Barracuda hood

I realised my posting error shortly after it went up but I hope a FABO greenhorn will be forgiven for a couple of errors. All I needed was one wise owner with a good answer and you have provided it. The air cleaner I am looking at is the Edelbrock 1207 with a 1" drop. Perhaps changing the...

Max height under '68 Barracuda hood

Being far too eager for my own good, I pulled out the engine and transmission from my '68 Barracuda without knowing or bothering to measure how much space I might have above the top of the air cleaner. :error: Of course, now I know how to measure all of the heights of the individual parts so...

    Wanted: 7-1/4 Sure-Grip for '68

Thanks for the tip. I have been trading PMs back and forth all evening with a fellow Canuck who says he has what I need. I knew that this search would be an uphill battle but it has started out rather well.

    Wanted: 7-1/4 Sure-Grip for '68

Yes, I know that it sounds bonkers to ask for a Sure-Grip for the weak 7-1/4 rear end instead of upgrading to the 8-3/4. :snakeman: However, the budget says I have to at this point in time. Thus, does anybody have one of these that they are willing to part with? I will take one with or...
