Disc brake conversion 64 Dart GT

I did have to do a tiny bit of grinding on the caliper bracket to fit by one of the bolts on the knuckle. I think that if I were to do it again, I would powdercoat the bracket after I filed it to fit, and probably the calipers also.

Disc brake conversion 64 Dart GT

I got #PB40011, But I went on EBay and looked for a similar kit and the one I picked was actually Classic Ind. selling it. When I called the regular number prior to finding this kit they told me that the wait was about a month for them to get it from the vendor. So I went on Ebay to see what...

Disc brake conversion 64 Dart GT

Well I just received my disc brake conversion kit from Classic Ind. yesterday and was nervous because the box was all torn up and opened and re-taped by a toddler. I opened the box this morning and was shocked to see that all the parts were in fact, in there. So at noon time I took the car out...

    Early A dual reservoir conversion

Thanks, if I cannot get a better pedal feel by trying to bleed them again, then I will jack it up onto jack stands and remove everything and try to make sure the hydraulics are working properly. BTW the rear drums on my rebuilt 8 3/4 rear end were all new when I assembled it. Maybe they need to...

    Early A dual reservoir conversion

Ok, I am using a Raybestos master for 67 dart, with 1" piston. the two reservoirs are not the same size, meaning that the one for the rear is smaller than the one for the front. Is this maybe a disc/drum master cylinder?

    Early A dual reservoir conversion

Hi, I did a master cylinder upgrade to a dual master, but I feel like I don't have enough pressure to stop the car quickly if I had to. The brakes were bled, and it seems to have a high enough pedal, but when I try to apply brakes I feel like there isn't enough stopping power. I also upgraded to...

If you check, you will see that this kit bolts right on to existing (10") brake system. I believe that the OP has a 9" brake system.

That's a friggin shame! All that time, you could have ordered from someone else if you knew then that they would be jerking you around!

64 (Canadian) Valiant Signet (aka Dart GT) front disc brake conversion

I liked dealing with Pirate Jack, you could get 5x4 or 5x4 1/2 if later on you decide to go with the BBP, all you have to do is buy the BBP rotors and away you go. Also they have kits for manual brakes or power brakes.

64 (Canadian) Valiant Signet (aka Dart GT) front disc brake conversion

I used Pirate Jack for my first 64 Dart GT that I had a couple of years ago. That kit worked great, even though they said that it would not work with my Cragar SS wheels. But they did, so I left them on.

    10"x 1 3/4" brakes on 8 3/4 rear end

Yup, thanks. I just ordered 4 nice new ones for my project. The ones that I have are slightly different, they have like a wasp neck right where the rubber cap would be on the wheel cylinder, possibly like a grip on the pin. I'm sure that these ones from Rockauto are generic in design, so that...

    10"x 1 3/4" brakes on 8 3/4 rear end

Can anyone tell me where I can find the link pins for the wheel cylinders? I am not having any luck finding them. I bought a rear end that I am rebuilding and there were only 2 pins on 1 side but none on the other side that was all rusted up. Any help locating these pins would be appreciated...
