    Backhalfing a car.......

I would strongly recommend purchasing mandrel bent, one piece rear frame rails. When I did my son's '88 Mustang I reinforced the stock frame kick up, added new 2x3 from there back, and 2x3 forward protruding up into rear footwell and welded to front sub frame. Far more work than I expected...

Panhard, Diagonal Link, or both with ladder bars?

A couple of chassis guys have advised us on my son's ladders. Both said the same thing, diagonal for drags not strong enough for street, panhard is for circle track cars, use a wishbone for the street.

    Front End Floats

Check your toe with a buddy and a tape measure. Compare it to OEM if the same try 1/8" in or out until it "feels" right. I find that the older ones need the personal touch with a road test.

    Wheel hop options

I would first think about a slapper bar if the U bolts and nuts are not rusted solid. If they are and need to be cut off I would look to fabricate/purchase something more precise and adjustable.

Upper control arms are touching the bump stops

89 limited slip Ford 8.8 IRS swap help

Are you planning on using the OEM frame mounts for the sub frame or building your own control arm mounts? Very interesting, love chassis work. Can't help as I back halved my son's '88 Mustang installing shortened Mopar 8 3/4" with ladder bars. I know more about Mustangs than I ever wanted to so...

    Tubular K member design

To fastdart, we have been working on our 1970 B Body front suspension and started with a Corvette C4 Knuckle. It happened by chance but solved three issues, front steer proper ackerman, dropped spindle and plenty of large brake options. Dan.

    rack install failed

I can see your problem in #5 and second group #7, the rack needs to be raised or LCA inner pivot point lowered. When you say "tie rod sitting level like control arm" it needs the pivot points to be parallel, the tie rod is level but the LCA angles down. The difference in inner lengths as you...

    need help

If you can fabricate and have access to a welder we have made a number of tools that I'll try and describe. A piece of pipe to go over lower stud and rest on knuckle, other end has a large washer, nut and bolt that will screw out against the upper stud putting pressure on it while you give the...
