Greasing em was mentioned several times earlier in the thread. I’m asking because my drivers side hinge is looking like it’s flexing more than it used to and if adding grease to the equation helps, we’ll, that would be swell.

Any recommendations on best type of grease to use on the springs?

Just plain old rubbing alcohol has always worked fine for me. Do re-wax where you use it though.
