    Hood Inserts For '67-'68 Barracudas

My guess in the original owner liked the 67 trim better and swapped them out. My grandfather talked about adding the 68 marker lights to his 67 when the 68s came out. It is just what people did. Alan

Door Reassembly, Vent Wing Adjusting Rod Retainer

My 67 just had felt, it is more an anti-rattle than a retainer. I see no need for a "retainer" here. Alan

Converting Duster gas fill to behind the licence plate?

Not necessarily the case with all cars. In the first road test in the CHP car that I restored we were smelling gas and thought that may be the case. My friends got out and the reason for this test... Not on drop from the cap or fill tube. Turned out to be a bad soldier joint on a tank vent...

Converting Duster gas fill to behind the licence plate?

My Polara has it behind the plate and it is LOW, I try to find a pump where I can be nose down so I can fill it up. There were times it would shut off and I'd only have 3/4 tank. Alan

Hardtop windshield gasket on a convertible?

This weekend I'll pull the trim that I have and look at it. The things I'm looking at will be the spacing from the cowl, I have my fastback to compare it to. The other is the alignment to the a-pillar trim and as mentioned the size. Alan

Hardtop windshield gasket on a convertible?

Yes, the Gasket/Weatherstrip is different between the Convertible and the Hardtop, that I know. All 67-69 Barracuda/Dart convertibles used the same gasket that used the chrome PLASTIC trim lock strip. What I'm trying to find out is can you use the 68+ hardtop gasket and add clips for the bottom...

Hardtop windshield gasket on a convertible?

Not looking for anything related to 67-69 Barracuda/Dart OEM convertible weatherstrip or lockstrip. I'm asking can you install...

Hardtop windshield gasket on a convertible?

Sometime back someone mentioned using a 68+ hardtop gasket on a convertible so they could use the bottom stainless and not the chrome plastic lockstrip. I'm not sure who or where (another forum maybe?) Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks, Alan

Question about installing 68 trim on a 67 Cuda windshield

I did remove the factory 67 Fastback windows and saved both the glass and the weatherstrip, at the time you could not get new 67 weatherstrip. You should be able to do this with new gaskets, the use of sealant may make it more difficult. Alan

Question about installing 68 trim on a 67 Cuda windshield

What you are saying is you want to install the window now, then later remove it to do the headliner then reinstall the window again? I'd say yes if you are careful in removing the window. There is a risk of damage to the glass and the rubber. Why not just get the headline done before you...
