    1970 Dart radiator size

I think some had bigger. Mine is a 73 but I imagine it would be similar for 70. The AC cars typically had the 26 inch radiator, at least mine did.

    Beating my fan shroud.

What size rad do you have? My 73 dart was a 318 w/ac and a 26 inch rad. If thats what you have I could look up the part number on my shroud and maybe make it easier for you to find something.

I guess I was mistaken then!

    Beating my fan shroud.

I just lucked out, my 73 swinger came with a 26 inch rad and a shroud. If I'm not mistaken wouldn't any 26 inch dodge rad shroud work if you can find it?

whats the best way to bypass a heater core

I think I may snag this idea on my car, really simple.

    What radiator are you running?

I'm running the stock 26 inch rad that came with my dart, took it to a rad shop to get it cleaned out. I just lucked out because my car was an AC one and it came with a bigger rad. Shouldn't have any issues with my new small block.

    Radiator frame fix

Took it into a rad shop, they are going to solder everything back together and just check it out in general. Thanks

    Radiator frame fix

I'm wondering what the best approach is to fix the tabs or frame that mounts the radiator to the car. Not the screws that attach the rad, as those are fine but the physical case around the radiator that then screws to the rad. When I was taking it out for the motor pull I noticed that only one...

What to do With Heater Hoses?

My dart had ac, and the previous owner just routed the two hoses that go from the water pump to the firewall. He kept the ac in place but it just wasn't connected. Without ac your car essentially becomes the same as a non ac one. So you can bypass that valve i'm pretty sure. On my car I'm...

    A/C Complete Removal

So I guess as long as I use a matching set of pulleys I'm good? So I'll just use the non-ac pulley setup that came on the 360. The only issue with doing that is the power steering pump bracket is different, and so is the diameter of the pulley (I could be wrong), Can I change out the pulley with...

    A/C Complete Removal

Okay so I just tool a look an I have the current A/C pulley that is on my 318 and a NON-A/C pulley and brackets on the 360. But I have the A/C water pump. I know it's important to keep the A/C diameter pulleys with the A/C water pump, but could I just us the A/C pulleys on my 318 with the...

    A/C Complete Removal

The car is a 73 dart swinger. Sorry about that, yea it would be the receiver dryer, and okay, I kinda though it was the condenser but I just wasn't sure. And I was under the impression that I could just take out the A/C unit and use the stock pulley system with different belts and just live...

    A/C Complete Removal

So before I take out my 318 and drop my 360 in place I was looking at ways to clean up things under the hood. And one thing that is going is the A/C unit and the hardware. But I notice that there are lines that go from the A/C unit to this little black cup like thing and to another row in front...

    Is a radiator upgrade needed?

Yeah I was planning on doing that. I'm going to be putting in an oil pressure gauge, tach, water temp, don't think I really need much else.

    Is a radiator upgrade needed?

Yeah I think its the 26 inch radiator, I had to take it out once to replace some parts. It works just fine, the temp gauge always stays on the cool side, so with the bigger 360 It would get a bit warmer but still be in the safe range.

    Is a radiator upgrade needed?

I'm going to be swapping my 360 with anywhere from 350-400HP into my 73 dart pretty soon and i'm starting to wonder if I have to upgrade the cooling system. The car has a stock 318 in it, but it has A/C so I'm pretty sure it has a better cooling system, the car runs pretty cool as it is so...

    Water pump and corresponding pullies

I was looking through pictures when I got my 360 and it turns out it had AC as well. So like you said I'll buy an AC water pump and use the entire AC pully system that is currently on my 318 as it is all in really nice shape, and I know everything will fit. Having an extra belt slot isn't really...

    Water pump and corresponding pullies

I'm wondering about the type of water pump that I need to buy. My car right now has AC, so it has the AC water pump and pulley system with the 318. I have my 360 all built besides the water pump and a few other things, I'll be using the pully system from the 360 and not using AC. Is there any...

    A/C and heater box removal

I guess the better idea is to just loop the two hoses. Like stated in the future it a probably a good idea to not remove the heater box completely. Currently the car does have ac on the 318, bit when I put the 360 in I'm not putting the ac back in.

    A/C and heater box removal

I going to be pulling the old wore out 318 in my 73 dart and replacing it with a rebuilt 360. The A/C doesn't work and the heater constantly blows hot air into the cabin no matter what, so I just want to get rid of it. I also want to get rid of as much stuff under the hood as possible so I can...

    Water pump replacement

So I'm in the process of replacing the water pump in my 73 dart 318, it's an ac car, is there a difference between the pump on an ac and a non ac car?
