In your first picture, I believe the cap screws on like a normal gas cap. I didn't remember my 67 GTX having a flip cap. Then again, I have old timers disease, CRS. LOL

67 GTX did not have an exposed gas cap, it was behind the fuel door on the drivers side quarter panel.

Do you know if the cover is year specific? Their website isn't to informative, will the cover you have fit all A bodies?

Take them to your local muffler shop and have them swedged out to 2 1/2", run a tap though the screw holes and bolt them on. My exhaust guy would on charge me a minimum amount (probably a six pack) to take care of it for me.
