Got the motor home finally. Drained the oil and got 3 quarts of antifreeze and then something like gear oil. Dropped the pan and looks like there is mud in the pan. And the motor is locked up. The block, head and VC are all yellow. But the pan is blue. Did they paint 198's yellow? Either...

Hope you guys are right, he told me to be ready to pick it up when he pulls it. I will probably grab the k-frame at the same time, he is going aftermarket and everything is going to scrap. I know one guy here converts them to v8 k-frames, and so maybe it is worth saving as well.

Brother has a ‘71 Demon he got with a 198 (I think) that he is going to scrap. Used to be the rods were worth something to the right people, but not sure if that is still the case. Worth grabbing the rods or anything else? Or not worth the effort anymore?

No argument that there are a multitude of cars with switches that would work. My only point was that if you need a new one, there doesn’t seem to be a source.

I think the one I used was from a later Dakota. Got it working and then the switch went bad. Replaced it with a new one and had other issues crop up so haven’t tested it to make sure my setup isn’t the issue and not the switch.

Pretty sure that is what I have working on my Duster. Even have it working with the 4 speed, but that was a custom mod. Biggest issue I could see is finding the Volare brake switch if you need one. Works with the Duster mount, but has a separate circuit that opens when the brakes are applied...
