As C130 Chief stated they can be very accurate. The taper varies with the diameter range of the tool. Smaller has a finer point than the larger one.

Maybe a local hydraulic shop could match up the individual seals and back up rings. A lot of rams use standard sized o rings and such.

Mine was doing the same thing. It ended up being the igniter which also acts as a kind of termocouple that controls the voltage to the safety valve. Basically wasn’t allowing enough current to the safety valve for it to open. I also replaced the temp sensor and all’s been good, had it apart so...

Doesn’t the gm hei have a specific tach output terminal off the coil? At least from what I remember. It does not familiar with what your using but maybe it needs connected to the tach output. Your in dash may need to be connected to the same. Not sure.
