    Hurricane readyness

Thanks! It's in decent shape overall. Fitment is poor as it relates to the new gasket and clips. I have ordered an assortment of other clips and plan to play around with it. For A $200 basket case that my son and I have been working on for the past six years, it's coming out nice. I figured I'd...

Duster 340 not a muscle car...

I read an article a few years back somewhere that the whole reason the Plymouth guys took the risk of taking their 1970 "freshen the Valiant" budget and building a new body from the cowl back was to have an A-body that they could put the 340 in that young buyers would find appealing. Those guys...

Duster 340 not a muscle car...

I don't know. My first car was a 69 Barracuda. I drove the living piss out of that car. This was in 77, and for me an olds 442 was boring to look at. So many GM cars just looked so frigging heavy and boat-ish. And then I'd look at the Duster, Holy Smokes I wanted one so damn bad. Looked sleek...

Duster 340 not a muscle car...

lol, back in 77 my stock 69 Barracuda 318/2v with headers would regularly embarrass Chevy 350/4v cars.. For me, any domestic V8 rear drive car with some power and good power/weight ratio falls under the designation. God is great, beer is good and people are crazy...

    Steps to finish Project..

My son and I have gotten our Dusters body and frame rust free, straight and painted with the good advice and encouragement from FABO members. The car is truly a roller with all glass but windshield. Suspension, rear, steering column and power steering box are in the car, absolutely nothing...

How to get the motor from the floor up onto the stand

I wrestled the 800+ pound LA 360 from a trailer onto my garage floor with the help of my son. It's resting on an old tire and I need to get it up onto an engine stand. If need be I can use a come along and rig a forged eyebolt thru a girder to lift it so I can bolt it onto the stand. Trying to...
