Here are stock style tips on my 68-S.

I have a full 3” TTI system on my 68 barracuda with the stock tank, factory tips (modified to fit 3”) and the Mopar offset spring hangers. Had to cut and change the angle of the pipes in a few spots and add a dent for clearance on the passenger side. Can get you some pics of you would like.

Baking them probably isn’t a bad idea if you aren’t installing them right away. I didn’t bake mine but installed and ran them a few days after applying the paint.

I’ve had good luck with VHT. Of course good prep helps. I sand blast and make sure there is no surface contamination (oil, etc) before spraying the paint on.

The black widows sound nice, just installed a pair on my 68 Cuda with dual 3". Minimal drone.

I have always used a thin bead of high temp RTV on my stock 340 Manifolds without a gasket and never had a leak. I also check to make sure the flanges/mounting surfaces are flat.
