    OVERHEATING

Spark plugs do three things. They provide spark, keep themselves clean and they PULL HEAT OUT OF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER. Start two steps colder.

Coolant leaking out of my radiator cap and/or overflow

If coolant is coming out aound the cap its probably the cap. Also, you should be running a coolant recovery system and not just a overflow tank. IMHO

Cooling info. Should be a sticky

Are you saying the cycling is due to the fan coming on and off or the thermostat opening and closing?

    Skewed radiator

So lets see. I have two B body radiators lets say pre 1966. they are from two different cars which came from two different parts of the country and are no way associated with each other. Somebody put a 4” bracket on one side and a 3 1/2 bracket on the other side and by chance I have both of...

    Skewed radiator

Radiators are normally square to the radiator support. The two radiators I have are skewed toward the driver side so If in fact it was to be square to the offset engine its the opposite

    Skewed radiator

67 A and 62 B body. Nothing wrong with the rad supports nor are they offset per say.

    Skewed radiator

I would agree but on both rads the brackets are in the same spot on top and one bracket is 3 3/4”and the other is 3 1/4”

    Skewed radiator

I can’t find an answer of why stock radiators have a different size bracket on each side so the radiator is skewed when its installed. Could it help the cooling effect by not blowing straight through the coils? I have two different rads so I know I’m not nuts.

    Coolant smell

Im betting the smell will go away after a few runs On a separate note did you update the overflow to a closed cooling system? The closed system keeps the radiator full at all times. Run any coolant recovery bottle the fits in available space and a Stant 10231 cap. Great upgrade to the old...

    RADIATOR OVERFLOW

Use any coolant recovery bottle which fits in your space. A partial pressure cap. I use the Stant model Make sure the line to the bottle is clamped. Any pressure loss will defeat the coolant recovery process. This will keep your radiator filled to the top at all times.

    Sandin compressor locking up?

Right. You have a gauge I assume. If not, better get one. The high side is plugged, the fan is not going on when the pressure goes up or the compressor is mechanically locked up.

    Sandin compressor locking up?

Is your fan running to cool the condenser? If not it can drive pressures up.
