    Radiator core tubes....

5/8" tube possibly. My recored 71 rad had to stretch the tanks to fit it. Does keep it cool. Have an OEM shroud too.

Radiators: Is 22" enough for 400 HP?

I have a stock tank 22inch with a 3 core 5/8 tube rad, with clutch fan and shroud and my IMM built 408 pushing close to 600HP, and it stays under 180 with these cooler temps, and have never seen it go above 200.

    Overheated last night...bad

If you take the radiator cap off and rev the motor, does the level in the rad go down and back up? If not, the pump isn't doing its job

SB Stroker - What Cooling System?

22 inch 3 core, 5/8 tubes, factory shroud with clutch fan, and it keeps my 408 very happy. I'd get a different gauge or borrow an IR gun from someone.

    Running hot I think

Shroud and a 7 blade with fan clutch will keep it cool. How big are the tubes on the 3 core radiator?

    How hot is hot?

Again, the temps don't seem low enough for what you're doing, and the current temps in Phoenix. What other specs on the motor can you share. I would expect it to be able to maintain well under 200. We're not even HOT yet here.

    How hot is hot?

for evening temps right now, 220 seems hot. Does it slowly creep up and never cool down. Was this idling around or some RPM down the highway. Just some thoughts.
