31/2'' header outlet...need to adapt to a 3'' header flange ideas

TTI has the reducers you need. Its what I used to adapt to their 3 inch Xpipe.

guys running TTI exhaust on their dart.???

Guess it depends on where you have them end in relation to the huge hanger they provide. Mine don't seem that far out, and don't touch the valance either. They do look good tucked in a bit like you did.

yeah, I know that, as that is what I have. Are yours the same length

guys running TTI exhaust on their dart.???

I'll ask my painter. Car was painted by previous owner, but I had to color match the engine compartment, as it was flat black.

guys running TTI exhaust on their dart.???

Joe, my lower valance and bumper stay clean, plus it keeps the sound from exiting under the trunk, which seems to lessen the volume inside the car. Which mufflers did you go with?

guys running TTI exhaust on their dart.???

turn downs, I like them, don't think they stick out that far. Chrome tips would look sweet too.

    3" or 2 1/2"??

The right muffler will keep the 3 inch tame too. Do you foresee upping the power if what you have just isn't enough? Then do the 3inch.

    gotta go 3 inch

and the headers? did he advise you on those? I to have the 3inch to mufflers, and then 2.5 over axle, and my springs are inboard.

    gotta go 3 inch

Tailpipes are the major pain to fit if you've moved springs inboard.

    tti exhaust muffler selection

I like them quieter when just cruising. They do open up when the revs are up too. Suits my expectations for this car's intended purpose. Here's a sound clip with the TTI step headers I originally had on the car. I've gone up to the bigger tube W2 headers since this was recorded...

    tti exhaust muffler selection

Their systems all fit. I have the 3inch system, xpipe with the 23inch super turbos, and their tailpipes, there's plenty of room.
  13. FredS

I think I finally need tailpipes. Options?

Are your springs inboarded? 3 inch tailpipes will be tight if so. 2.5 inch pipes won't hurt your setup at all. Mandrel bent pipes that fit very nice are worth something, no?

Changed the exhaust on my car for a complte TTI

so you expected a 14 inch muffler to be quieter than an identical 18 inch muffler. Work on your tune, or fine someone who knows how, since you made a major change to your exhaust. I don't understand why people come bash on line, when it doesn't appear you tuned for the new exhaust.

Plan on switching to a mini starter at the same time. Fit and finish is excellent too. I've got them on mine, and with P/S too.

    TTI 3 inch exhaust

the ultra flows aren't loud? heck, I have the Super Turbos, and I kind of like the quiet until you nail the throttle sound. Are the ultras offset/center style?

    Need exhaust help

the TTI system is nice. I love the sound. Here's my IMM built 408 with headers, 3inch, x-pipe, dynomax super turbos, 2.5 tailpipes. Its very nice when you want to cruise around, but opens up nicely when you hit the pedal. roccodart440, post a sound clip of those Borla's. http://youtu.be/GawehCx9E28

    Yep gotta get tti s

TTIs fit no problem on mine, even with P/S.

what exhaust should i go with

too bad you aren't close. Have a complete dual exhaust with flowmasters I'd let go, its loud enough to annoy the neighbors.

    Headers/Exhaust Manifolds

I've only had the X on this setup, so no comparison on this motor. I like the sound of this setup.

    TTI Header issue

did you contact TTI and talk to Sam? He's been very helpful when I had questions from the technical side. How much lower. Just looked at mine, and they're pretty even. You say collector and oil pan. The collector is by the trans pan, no?

    Identify these headers

Can anyone identify these headers? They came with the 71 Swinger I just picked up, but they don't look like they fit an A body. There's a number stamped on the header flange: 022802
