Answered my own question: looks like a 68-71 A/B body cars and 76-87 trucks.

Also, it looks like a bolt in style shifter will not work. Is it possible to drill that out to accept a bolt in style shifter?? Sorry for all of the noob questions.

Any idea of what year? Also, is it a stock piece? Or aftermarket?

I recently got this shifter off of Ebay. Anyone know what its for?? I looked up the 4 digit code on the side, 8357, and all im finding is stuff for Chevys. Did I buy a chevy shifter???? I thought I was buying a shifter for my A833.
