Would like to run side exhausts..

Why would anyone want the exhaust sound in their car? Why do your mufflers have to be in front? Why must exhaust pipes go over the rear housing when using a full setup? My 3 answers: I don't want to be part of any conversation while driving or hear the radio over the exhaust. Mufflers have...

fenderwell headers under the master cylinder

My Signet has the same fender-well super comps for the past 25 plus years without a problem. 10 years ago it needed a new MC so I installed a plastic Toyota master cylinder and still no problems in 10 years.

Stacey Davids Gearz. H pipe verses X pipe

That is a beautiful car OldmanMopar... My Signet's exhaust hasn't any crossover H or X just straight back under the rear to SuperTrapps.. when the last engine was built it's dyno was 479 hp so I figured I could lose a few and still run well and it did..

anyone dumping the exhaust right after the rearend

I personally do not like the exit sound coming from underneath the car itself, makes it hard to hear the passenger and than there's the under dirt.. I run a straight back from the headers right under the rear to 4 inch SuperTrapps and I cannot hear its exhaust and if I want it either louder or...

message from dynomax on vt mufflers

New fandangled noise suppressors eh? With the mufflers my Signet has, if it needs to be quieter I just remove 5 or 6 of the discs. Have had these mufflers on here since 1989

small block chevrolet in a 68 barracuda headers

Isaac, the transmission in my 64 has been there 22 years and its never been out of the car since. It was done by Dynamic trans and converters, it a 1962 BB 727 reverse manual and granted its been a pleasure and the absolute best trans I've ever had in an no clutch situation and to me its...

    X pipe vs H pipe

The idea of the X is to scavenge to exhaust as to what the older American race cars once did by crossing the headers as 1 into 3, 2 into 4 etc. Just two days ago I spoke with a muffler dude who told me this didn't work which to me was pure BS, also said I should rid my car of the supertrapps and...

Professional Answer to Exhaust Size Question 2.5" vs 3"

I'm so happy I read what was said here as there is much information for my future builds. On my end I personally have 2 1/2 inch pipes from the fenderwell headers straight back under the rear going to 5 inch supertrapps which are adjustable for sound as well as low, mid and top end. I've run...

    Header Nightmare

Yes I would have put TTI headers in my 64 Signet had I built my Signet in 2008 but I didn't and now I've had same pair of Hooker Fenderwell headers since I built my Signet in 1989. Ya work with what you've got and using simple common sense gives you cause of action. Yes my pipes are also low but...
