Quarter Aces dragway was a short hop from this track. According to the website, South Mountain bought that property. They were supposed to have racing Friday but it was cancelled potentially due to no cars or low car count.
As stated above, I usually took 15S to 81 to Carlisle. This year, Waze...
They, among others, are keeping the sport alive or added at least added spice IMO in an otherwise slowly dying sport with tracks closing everywhere. That's said, we need PINKS to be reborn even if under a different name.
No expert here. I have a a 380 hp magnum with a 904 rmvb. I have a weighted high stall converter as well since the engine is externally balanced. The key is welding the weights on the converter or getting the correct flex plate so you dont have a hellacious vibration
I see people buying A body projects hand over fist. They are in for a BIG surprise. If I can ever sell my turd IM DONE with that mess. Sheet metal will be non existent!!!!!!!
As stated above, AMD is phasing out all mopar sheet metal. Ford and chevy is the future. I also heard they are destroying the dyes/molds as well due to lack of interest and demand.
They had the black charger in the first Fast and Furious on display at Universal Studios.
I was surprised what a turd it was. Needed a complete restoration, rust everywhere etc....
I believe 2004 was the last year offered by Mopar Performance. I have seen some online offered for 10k which is ridiculous. I dont know if its greed, stupidity or both. No one in their right mind will fork that over.
Might find one stored in a barn or removed from a running car to be replaced
These 380 hp motors always come up for discussion. Similarily, have we forgotten the 410 hp Mopar Performance crate motor? I never heard of anyone having one
A stripped down A body might get you in the 12s. I have that motor in a 3480 lb duster. According to online calculators, it's a mid 13 sec ride. Very disappointing. I havent tested it yet. In fact, pulled the heads and replace with eddys
One of the Mopar magazines about 10 years ago asked, "Will A Bodies be the new B bodies?? I'm 49 and I dont see it in my lifetime. As mentioned, B and E are to far gone to ever afford one. People cash out their IRA and spare no expense etc. To restore their Mopar or Nomad station wagon. A...
Bought a used 2005 camry. Pulled every bolt I could in the front end, derusted them and anti seized everything. Any other bolt I removed same thing. Same for my 73 Duster
Anyone have theirs handy that could snap a pic of the directions?? Mine peeled off and I dont want to waste three quarters of a gallon. Thanks in advance! Pic not mine either. I looked online and it seems they are out of business. Number disconnected
I agree, however, every car show I went to the same people almost always got a trophy. 1 a chevelle, the other a nova. They are nice cars and people DROOL over them.
Meanwhile, my grandma had a duster like yours. Oh look, another chevelle!!
Only speaking for myself, the AMD thing took the wind out of my sails. My car is solid now but if one gets another duster etc and the time comes where a bubble rears its ugly head, well, we know what surprises lie in wait. If you buy a car from a person who doesn't know the history or on his...
Question: How many approximately known dusters are left in the U.S. that can be used for parts? There are zero in New York State. How many unrestored complete cars are there?
Been to Carlisle. Very little sheet metal these days. A few sellers said they are tired of bringing sheet metal because it takes up space and people don't want to spend money at the show. So they toss it for scrap. I dont think most people want to wait a year for the possiblity of there being...
Regardless of the virus, AMD stopped producing panels that dusters NEED. Solid fenders are next to impossible. Quarters, us average guys are not fabricators. Fabricators, you are all awesome and are unaffected. Doors, people arent bringing them to swap because they are heavy. The list goes on...
Might be the last straw for me. It seems the non solid cars would be in demand and the once savable ones will be parts cars or all out race cars unable to return to the, street. People are not paying good money for the usual duster, everyone wants them for next to nothing even after repairs. I...
