Your thoughts on stroker block build

One thought in considering cost. The magnum head adds expense unless you stay with factory rockers. One expert says they are good to .525 lift. I planned to go that way but did not like how much contact angle this produced on the valve stem. Wound up buying Harland Sharp adjustable roller...

    My Jones Cam Recommendation

Are all these cams hardened the same? Likely not a big issue with the roller I have planned but I'm curious.

Great looking smoker. I just got back from a trip to the BC coast with 150 lb of salmon, halibut, ling cod, and snapper. Planning to do some smoking. Got me a simple smoker that has temp control, an upgrade from my Big Chief. Nothing like what you have but it will do. I also like to do old...

Wheelie bars maybe?? So, they work, and keep working. I'm kinda curious about what the differences are. I'm sure a google search will pull up some info.

Very nice progress. Would you mind commenting on your choice of ladder bars vs other options like Cal tracs?

Aluminum bumper brackets, a new offering

Do you happen to know the weight difference between steel and fiberglass bumpers? My interest is in a 69 Dart.

    5.9 Magnum

I see lol. The thread title is 5.9 Magnum. Sounds like you got decent power with 8.5.

    5.9 Magnum

Factory Magnum heads are 62. Seems to me you should have better than 9.1. The factory gasket is .048.

    5.9 Magnum

Curious, how you got 8.5 compression. Did you get the RHS heads at the high end of the cc range? I'm about to put together almost exactly what you have, but hoping to stay close to the factory 9.1 or better.

**Post your in Trunk Battery and Fuel Cell Pics**

That one looks fairly solid. God forbid any high speed crash but if it happens, the battery potentially becomes a very heavy missile - likely moving forward. I may do a cut-out in the floor to recess it a few inches. It would be far stronger than anything just bolted down.

    572 Aluminum has arrived

Just got back from a trip to Canada. Met a FABO member there. He paid $16,000 for his 340 stroker and said that's what a typical stroker build goes for up there. I don't have the details, but I think we have it better here!

Makes me itch for the day I turn the key on my junkyard 5.9.
