Thanks! Yeah that’s the plan is to have the seats covered to match. Was trying to make it to a car show, MATS, but it was cancelled. So there’s a few things I’ll go back over.

So with running the carbs, it takes away all the electronics for efi away. MSD box, MSD Hemi6 runs the coils. It connects to the coils, cam sensor and crank sensor. Then that’s pretty much it. It’s hooked to a old school 4 speed, so none there.

Thank you. Can’t wait to get her out and bang some gears. It’ll be fun to work out any kinks and make any changes while being able to actually drive it.

Appreciate it much. Still need an exhaust, and tune the carbs, then I can cruise her around.

Probably won’t have those ones long, just needed a set to move it around while moving. Not sure what I’ll get next though.

Will do, but trying to adjust the carbs to idle. Having some issues. It doesn’t have any exhaust yet, it’s ordered up.

Finally finished her up... at least that’s what the wife believes Still need to order up some exhaust, still open headers at the moment. Also need to mess with the air/fuel settings. Still having some issues with getting her to idle. Also the fan temp switch didn’t come on at the stated...

Rear seat is stock. Front seats are out of a 2014 Dodge Challenger. Even ran some power to have a power seat. mean power to the console, to power the trunk opener, hurst line lock, and usb plug for a charger.

Laying carpet was a task. Trying to find all the holes for seatbelt bolts and holes for the seats wasn’t too bad, but very time consuming. Really respect those guys in the factory knocking these things out so fast.

After windows were in, started hauling *** on the interior. Made my own rear package tray. Also laid down some carbon fiber decal in the door panels. Never was a fan of the wood grain. It matches, dash and pistol grip shifter.

Front and rear windows in. Called around for a few days and couldn’t find anyone that does classic cars. Found a local company, can’t recommend them, but the job is done.

Trunk is done. Happy with the way it came out. Windows are being installed tomorrow. Can’t wait. That’s the only thing holding me up for interior.

Got to finally throw the hood on. This thing is really coming together. My painter didn’t paint the marker light housings or the inner fender wells, so I got that done.

Headliner in. First time ever messing with a headliner, came out nice and tight, looking great! Rear of the headliner isn’t done yet, waiting on new sailpanel panels. Interior should come right along now!

I rebuilt the quarter windows. I used the kit from Detroit Muscle Technologies. https://www.detroitmuscletechnologies.com/mopar-a-body-70-76-dart-sport-demon-duster-rear-pop-out-quarter-window-seals-install-kit/ Took the whole thing apart, polished the stainless. Installed new rubbers, went in...

Wiring is pretty much set. Under the dash is all tidied up, wires, ground wires, gauges. Also got taillights in, head lights, bezels and grille installed. Will probably end up changing grille to sharktooth soon.

Got some under the hood stuff installed, radiator, wiper wash set up, wiring all set fans and relays, oil filter, fuel delivery set up, looking real good. Going together nicely.

Having this thing painted was a disaster. Haven’t had much luck with paint till now. Had to go back over and spray the dash, k-member, steering components from all the over spray. also blacked out behind the grille.

Got sound deadener installed You can tell instantly that it helped! no more echo thump and doesn't sound hollow. We will see how it works after the carpets in!

That’s too funny. I did the same! That’s one of the things that helped... But when it sits in the sun, it gets soft and gets flexible... Then hits again... ‍

    1970 5.7 Hemi Duster

Yea I was very disappointed. Had to modify my hinges to get it even close. It’s pretty thin, so every time I go to open it, it bows in the middle and rubs and it gets stuck on the cowl. Thought I fixed it, it was sitting in the sun the other day and it was pretty hot. Hood became even more...

    1970 5.7 Hemi Duster

Yea they are a little wide. Having the black jambs makes it look huge. It’s in body and paint now and they will be tightened up. As for the hood fitting the hinges don’t move, so the hood would not close without moving it forward 1.5-2 inches... it was hitting on the cowl. For it to clear...

The hood is soo thin that every time it opens, the thing bends and it hits in the rear. Thought I fixed it, but if it sits in the sun for a while, it just bends again. Time to add to stiffen it up a bit.
