To answer the question on mounting. These are 1980s Ford brackets, slightly modified. Same piece is welded to the lower support to isolate the radiator. Cheap and easy.

Well, it's not to my car, but what is the assembly date on the block. I haven't had a a chance to see if my transmission is stamped, but this would help narrow down when they started stamping the numbers (my VIN is 111xxx and SPD of 8/28/67).

Can you measure from hole to hole (where it mounts to the frame)? Diagonally and around the rectangle?

Not much there. I do have some timing covers and might have some stock 340 valve springs (I'd have to search). I also might still have some original 340 valves (2.02/1.60). No 360 parts. The spare windage tray is with my spare 340. Can't really justify spending money for a carb at this point...

I am also curious if you know the history of the motor. I'm really not in the market, but would be interested to find the original 340 from my '68 GTS convertible. It was taken out around 1980 in San Jose or close by.

Tach is sold.

I do have a spare 120 speedo that has a loose head (there are screws that I can see, but the needle would have to be removed and then the rivets cut to get to them. I can throw that one in for another $25 for parts to fix the 150. Looks like the tach is sold.

1967 Barracuda 150 mph speedometer and tach. Both are in need of a complete restoration and are INOPERABLE at this time (water damage). The speedometer back end is frozen up, but the needle moves and sticks. The tach needle sticks and I have not hooked it up to test the electronics. Cosmetically...

They changed from year to year, with the biggest change from '67 to '68.

No VIN on the pan rail on '68 blocks. IF they have a VIN it will be stamped on the top of the bell housing area. Early builds were not stamped at all.

So are 67-72...but they (67-72) are different from the 73-76.

I can get pics of factory standard bore 340 low comp pistons (I have eight on the shelf). That also looks small, but pics can be deceiving... Those do not look like the 10.5 factory 340 pistons, which only have two reliefs, not four.

I think I'm seeing 8E152xxx. That is a good thing because it cannot be the original to my GTS so my money can stay in my pocket...
