    Unknown converter

I'd pass on it. Too many unknowns. Converters aren't that expensive new. You'll be miles ahead if you get one made specific to your vehicle. Got mine custom for the 727/360 in Demon. It was under 400 to my door. Feels like a slingshot.

    6 cyl Automatic

you'll prob have to swap the speedo drives to use the Aspen cable. 72 cable is thread on, F body isnt. Use the F linkages, kick down, etc.

It wasnt a "new housing end" search but yeah. Didnt even find a picture that matched in a general image search for mopar 8.75. Looks like its a cut down candidate for the next project. Awesome. One less piece to find! The parts collecting continues....

    Converter upgrade worth it?

3400 converter from Edge in 727 behind 360 (approx. 450/450 crank) XS282S cam ported heads... Andre must have asked me 50+ questions about the complete car. Dont guess, be specific and honest with answers if you want it built right. He nailed mine. Feels like being launched from a slingshot...

    727 transmissions are so complex

I did the FMX in my 69 Mustang fb in the early 80's with just a really good manual from the Kirtland Air Base library. Deff more to it than a 727!

    727 transmissions are so complex

3 things I'll add... 1. Take your time. 2. Clean is very important. Hands, work area and all parts. No grit allowed. 3. Digital camera is your best friend. Take lots of pics as you go. Doesnt cost a nickel but could save you lots. It only seems impossible utill youve done it.

Rev's a bit high for long hauls at 65-75 but its sweet to be at merge speed in a blink.

Another vote for Edge Converters and Andre. The list of questions seemed endless...but he got it right. Feels like a slingshot ride.

Also a factory 8-1/4 rear in an A body means front disc brakes.
  28. Jimacuda

Bought a 70 Dart Custom Parts car and I have a question.

Yup, 8-1/4 would have to be big bolt pattern. They did not come in small bolt pattern. 73-76 rear most likely.
