Good....Don't flip the hanger. If you want to lower the back around an 1" get a set of these leaf spring brackets. There are a few company's selling them, Mancini being 1 of them.

For what you are doing, KYB or Monroe shocks will work just fine.

I did the opposite, and pulled the PS off my 70 Dart, and installed a manual box. PS is for grandmas and grocery getters. Save your money. .02

If you are going to have super stock springs, you should use them as intended, and ditch the blocks. Then get the correct shocks for super stock springs. Or get a set of stock replacement springs, and get some kyb's, Monroe's, etc. Either way, I would ditch the blocks.

Do you ever read the full post from a member, or do you just see shocks, and scream Hotchkiss or Fox or Koni !!!!!!! Because I don't think you do. He stated that he "wasn't going to race the car, so that whole class of shock is out of consideration". Did you read that part ? I didn't think so...

Yes and No. There has been horror stories of these control arms breaking through the years. Never have I heard that about a factory control arm. So careful what you wish for.

I guess that's what I meant, the two different spline sizes. I'm building a 73 k frame as we speak, and going from power steering to manual. Power steering had the larger spline, of my 2 boxes.

Best thing to do at this point is to go all 73 and up. Will really save you a headache of mismatched parts. On a side note: There are 2 different Pitman arms. 1 for manual, and 1 for power steering. If you need any 73-up steering parts, just put up a wanted add.

For starters the wrong side of the car is in the air. Might want to find out what is happening there. Another trick back in the day was to put (longer) B or C body shocks on.Those springs defiantly need longer shocks than the factory length, to work properly. I would head down to O'Reilly's or...

I like the firm ride of KYB's. The car to me, feels planted. I have 3 Darts, and have them on every one. Is there better shocks out there ? Absolutely. But for the money, its a tough shock to beat. I bought a new set of Monroe's for the Scamp, to do a comparison. Rusty says the engine bay is...

The correct fix would be a new set of shocks & leaf springs. Air shocks are a bandaid, and are not good for the car. Joe Dirt digs them though.

Sway bars and SS springs don't work together. Sounds like you want something for the canyons, with the fat sway bars, tubular control arms,etc. If that's the case you would be better off with a set standard replacement springs. SS springs are for 1/4 mile jaunts. What is it you want your car to...
