For god sakes, can you leave anything alone ?
First the Dart, and now this ?
That's a bitchen truck !
Leave the poor thing alone, and just drive it.
.
I'm not going to doubt that. If Chrysler had extra go wings sitting around, they were going to use them. Most people wouldn't know the difference anyway. Chrysler's job was to build cars, and get them out the door, $.
But the general rule of thumb is:
70- Go Wing
71-on Gull Wing
On a side note...
The trick is to install the pins first.
Put a small dab of paint on the top of the pins, and slowly set the hood on the pins.
Now you should have two dabs of paint on the bottom of your hood. The center of those dabs of paint is where you drill a tiny pilot hole from the bottom to the top. After...
Open your doors and look for the drain holes.
Compressed air, blower, hose, screwdriver, dry vac, all tools of the trade. Blow, poke, vacuum, rinse, repeat.
Open the interior vents, and blow out while you are at it.
Cool story. Keeping the car culture alive is what counts.
Who cares what the paint looks like. Its all about learning. Exactly what a few individuals on here need to do. I applaud you. Cheers
The type of pattern depended on what day it was.
So the most important thing, would be the fit.
Order one for a 68 Dart hard top, and you should be good to go.
Mustang mirrors ?
You get the "Come on Man" of the day. :)
If you don't have sport mirrors, then you need sport mirrors.
Direct bolt/screw on mirrors from the factory, that are Awesome looking. Just like Ma Mopar designed it.
Look no further, these are the best mirrors for what you want to do.
Update:
Got the trim retainers 1994 RedRam suggested off EBay.
Pushed them over the pins, with the large end towards the emblem.
Lined them up with the holes and "popped" them in.
worked like a charm. Thanks RedRam and everyone else.
