Center drag link, are they really $600? 1964 dart

So back to your post. $600, that's a first, and obviously ridiculous. Post a wanted add in the wanted parts section. Also keep your eye out on the parts car section. One will pop up at a reasonable price on the site. Also welcome to the site. Probably should have said that first. :-)

Center drag link, are they really $600? 1964 dart

Dam, first it was the 8 3/4, then the LD340, then the 340 manifolds, then the 340 valve covers, then the 340 air cleaner, now the V8 center link ? Sweet Baby Jesus !!!!!!! I'm going Cheby.

    1965 dart gt spring question

What, the spacers ? I've been playing with these cars for awhile, and you are the first person I have ever seen do it. Not trying to pile on here, but why not do it right ? Pretty simple stuff.

1964 Valiant "Get Runnin & Drivin"

Lets call it what it is, not an early A rear axle. Rusty has an A body small bolt rear axle. This axle was the same axle in A bodys from 1963-1972. All these axles have the same 9 bolt cover. So there is no such thing as an early 7.25. Its the same A body rear end from 63-72. 1973-1976 7.25"...

1964 Valiant "Get Runnin & Drivin"

When you say Early carrier, what do you mean ? Is your rear end a 7.25, and original to the car ?

1964 Valiant "Get Runnin & Drivin"

That's odd. 10 bolt covers are for an 8.25". To my knowledge all 7.25" rears have 9 bolt covers. So are you saying these gears are a misprint, and are for 8.25" rear ends ?

Less than $100 on Ebay Do a search for 7.25 spider gears.

1964 Valiant "Get Runnin & Drivin"

The ol spider gears. Pretty much the weak link of the 7.25. Usually go south when you are turning a corner, with your foot into it. More so in the peg leg version. You probably would be better off to pick up a complete 7.25. People are pretty much giving them away.

Day two of the 64 Valiant

Sounds like fuel percolating. Start by getting the carb off the intake with a small heat insulator spacer. Then I would do the slant 6 fuel mod with the fuel line. Basically, the fuel line comes from the fuel pump, up over the valve cover. The coolant through the Clifford intake, is a trick...

Squarring the Rear-End after Spring Install?

I snug the front hangers, rear hangers, and u-bolts. Lower the car to the ground with all weight on it, and then torque to spec. Be ready for the *** end to be way in the air, with those springs.

Need help assessing this 1965 Dodge Dart 270 4-dr sedan

Gets some 14" small bolt steel wheels. Dime a dozen in the 14"x4.5" wide, or pay a little more for a 14"x5.5" wide steel wheel. 205/70-14 works well on the 4.5" wheel. 215/70-14 works well on the 5.5" wheel. Next up, turn those stock caps into frisbees, and get a set of dog dish caps. Good to go.

The demples are on the inside of the firewall, not the engine bay side. You smoothed out the interior of the firewall ?

    Early A Throttle Pedal Assy.

I would stick with the early A V8 set up. Much cleaner, bolt in way to go. They are out there. Post a wanted add.
