Yes i have the std 15 x 8 with 4 1/2 backspacing with 255-60-15 tires and the hit the fender when the suspension compresses

std backspacing on an 8 " rim is 4 1/2 so 5 seems right

Trim ring issue? or will a ring off a 7 inch fit

I have a 73 duster with a b-body axle. (1" wider) The 255-60-15 tires i have on the stock 15 x 8 rallye wheels rub on the fender. Im thinking i need a custom backspace and smaller tires, does anyone have a combo that works without rubbing?
