6.4 Hemi SRV versus windshield wiper motor.

Apparently, this is an issue even on B bodies. FBBO member Richard Cranium is building a 6.4 '70 Charger and had to notch the firewall to fit the 6.4 active intake.

    392 swap vs 340/416 build

One huge advantage? Smooth idle. Another? Double the fuel economy.

Uncle Tony says Gen III hemi has inherent lifter lubrication problems. Agree?

Pffft.... I have 347,000 on this truck. Never used synthetic oil either.

    A500/A518 to Gen-III

Not sure if this was directed at me but this one is a lockup type. The trans and converter look as if they were built yesterday. Very clean. It does need the controller to function though. I got this trans in a collection of parts. The prior owner has a 70 'Cuda and he switched to a 5 speed manual.

    A500/A518 to Gen-III

Anyone that might be interested... I have a 518/46RH unit with a 3G HEMI flexplate, 618 internals, rebuilt and ran for a short time before switching to a 5 speed manual.

Harness and computer for SRT 6.4 plus auto

Nope. That is the main reason that I have not seriously looked into swapping an 8 speed auto into one of my cars. The FCA group has a death grip on the electronics that nobody has been able to crack yet. The A8 is a huge transmission too, if the electronics can be figured out, you will need some...

    I’m getting a 2017 5.7 truck engine.

When they switched to the VVT setup, I wondered if you'd need a complicated stand alone computer to run the engine. It was easy enough to use a carburetor to find a way around the EFI and an MSD ignition lit the spark plugs. Now with the VVT, what the heck do you do to keep that functional ??

Any help planning a build that will be cost effecive ?

Cheap ? Off of the top of my head... A carbureted setup saves a bunch of electrical and computer work and $$$, MSD makes a stand alone ignition setup. Jeep exhaust manifolds seem to fit many applications. A mild 727 with an 11" converter with a Bouchillon or Lokar cable kickdown solves...
