Cragers Been looking for a set of 15 x 8.5 Centerlines for my drag radials, though. Anybody got at least a pair?

Wheel and tire combo on a 72 Duster

Man, I love this car more everytime I see it! If it ever goes up for sale message me first! To the OP- a lot depends on your suspension setup as well. What rear end, springs and ride height will dictate what you can get away with, and also the tolerances on your particular car. With a 15x8...

Who has 295/50R15s on there duster

Mine are 275/60/15 on 15x8 4.25"bs and 3/8" clearance to the leaf springs. Stock a-body 8-3/4. Espo +1" springs. They rub a little, more as the springs have settled or with passengers, on both sides. I don't see you getting 295's to clear without moving the springs.

    Traction Control Needed...

First off, ditch the air shocks before you crack your shock mount stud sheetmetal! Get the springs re-arched or buy some new ones if they sag. I can't understand putting a 215 on the rear if you are looking for traction, even for normal driving. If you are buying new rear wheels anyway, you...

    Rear quarter lip mods?

What techniques do you use to fold sheet metal in an arc like that?

    Rear quarter lip mods?

I have found the 275 tires on my Duster are rubbing, either from passengers in the back, or the springs settling enough to allow contact on dips and bumps . Just wondering if I want trim or roll the edges, and what is the best way to do either. I heard from another car guy there is a tool that...

    Tire size recommendations needed

I have 225/70/14 on the front, and they rub a fender bolt on the passenger side only. I plan to maybe get 225/60/14 but have to look at the height and width difference first. Not sure about the 275's on a Dart, but I doubt it. 255 might be as big as you can go. Dusters have more room to the...

True or false cragar 15's in 4 inch bolt pattern?

Cudas and Dusters have it made. I have seen 295's on a Cuda, but no idea on backspace or spring location.

True or false cragar 15's in 4 inch bolt pattern?

Just be aware, I have 14x7 3-1/4" backspace on the front, 225/70/14, and they rub. Not enough to tear up the tires, but enough to make you grit your teeth on every driveway. Stick with a 60 series I tried raising the front end 1/2" but highway feel was very noticible. The brick front end is...

True or false cragar 15's in 4 inch bolt pattern?

15x8 with 5 on 4" bolt circle. 4-1/4" backspace 275/60/15 NOT unilug, shank lug nuts. They do look a little different from the classic Cragers, the spokes are shorter and an extra band in the hub. I could not find an original set in good shape. I love the look but they are HEAVY. These fit...

Always remember to fully tighten your lug nuts

I will add, make sure you have cotter pins in all your suspension castle nuts....especially if someone else has worked on your car. Losing a tie-rod is just as bad.

    tire help on size

I'm just saying that is what I am running and that's what l have for clearance. I won't waste any more time trying to help, good luck!

    tire help on size

With 4-1/4" of backspace you will have about 3/8" from the tire sidewall to the springs with a 275 60 15. Stock a-body 8-3/4..

Don't go over a 60 series on the front. These are 225/70/14 and 275/60/15 (4-1/4" bs)

Rear tire size needed for 340 stroker?

I run 275/60R15 Cooper Cobras on 15x8 Cragers with 4.25" backspace and only have about 3/8" clearance from tire to leaf spring. But my rears don't rub one bit. I see people saying 4.5 backspace fits all the time, but I don't think it would on my car...not without spacers. Espo 1" over stock...

Wheel/tire combo for '73 Dodge Dart sport

So you ordered wheels and tires already? If so what did you get? I run Cooper Cobras 225/70 R14 on 14x7 4" BS on the front and 275/60 R15 on 15x8 4.25" BS in the rear with Espo +1" in the stock location. I have 3/8" clearance to the springs. Rears rub a little on angled driveways. If I did it...

Enough room for 15x10 on a Demon?

...unless you order the wrong backspacing... Those 275/60R15s are gonna rub the springs with 4.5" BS I run the same tire on 15x8 Cragers w/ 4.25 BS and only have 3/8" clearance to stock springs, and get a light rub sometimes.

    tire width plymouth duster

Running 15x8 4.25" backspace with 275/60R15 3/8" clearance to stock spring location, stock 8-3/4 A body rear. Much more room to the fender lip, not at home so no exact number, BUT this also depends on your ride height. My springs are one inch over stock. Here's an easy chart to understand...

74 Duster wheel and rim sizes.

I have 225/70R14 front and 275/60R15 on 14x7 and 15x7, backspace 4" and 4.25" respectively. They are close. Next time I will do 215s (just for looks) on front but I do like the 275's even though they show very light rubbing marks. I have 3/8" clearance to the springs in stock location. They are...

Cragar SS, Conical Seat or Shank Lug Nuts

Shank. The first one, you have to hold your mouth (and the wheel) just right, after that rotate as you go, and it's no big deal.
