Woo Hoo, It is finally home

    Sounds like a cool build ! Kudos for rebuilding & modifying a 4 door :glasses7: I see 2 *potential problems* with your proposed mod's : 1.) I've heard that 340 manifolds won't fit in '63-'66 A bodies ; use the original 273 manifolds , port-matched . 2.) The A-500 ( et seq. ) won't fit without...

Early A A/C how well does it work

One of the predominate factors in the superb operation and functions of the old RV-2 York compressors was the freon : R12 , the REAL stuff ! None of this junk 134a sh*t ! With a properly-functioning R-12 charged system , you could hop into a car that's been sitting in direct sunlight , in the...

    Black plate 65 Dart!

I've started a thread about Earl Ike Dodge : http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=136187 Looks like I should've stuck with my initial hunch about it being on La Brea 8-[. As far as listing those plates on eBay : why not put 'em up for sale ( or trade , whichever you prefer )...

    Black plate 65 Dart!

not to railroad this thread , but ... http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,75320.0.html ... it appears that Earl Ike Dodge sold no less than 2 1969 Hemi Daytonas !! Doing more research in an effort to find exactly where this dealership was located ...

    Black plate 65 Dart!

Nice find ! It's obvious that whomever the prior owners were , they were Chrysler fans ! I believe that Earl Ike Dodge was on either Florence , or maybe even La Brea / Hawthorne ( CA 107 ) . I'm siding with Florence , as that was thee premiere shopping district , until the Watts riots ( only a...

    lost my gas cap

This is great news ! There's a guy whom works in the same industrial complex as me . He has a '64 Dart 2 door HT that's his daily driver ; and this car is missing its gas cap (!!) . The caps available where I work are generic looking , too-small-but-will-"work" caps . I'll have to let him know...

    Does anyone know where...

Most -- if not ALL -- of the time , the different states don't even recognise pre-1981 , 13 digit v.i.n.'s !! I've tried to search for my '72 Dart and '73 Duster , but the Ca.'s DMV only provides for the 1981 & later v.i.n.'s . Your experience is typical of most DMV's (and government...

Any factory 4 speed wagons out there?

someone mentioned disc brakes on their early ( '63 - '66 ) "A" Body ... got any pics of your setup ? Those pre-1967 disc brake master cylinders are obsolete ; I've never seen a '65 - '66 Dart or Valiant with factory-installed disc brakes . I know that they exist , and I'd love to see one !
