    Impossible to install spark plugs!

Wow thank you so much everyone from the abody community. If it’s as easy as putting a smaller plug in that would be awesome. I know the mechanic that previously changed my plugs years back put 13/16” AC delco’s in the old iron heads. The car hasn't run in two years so I wasn’t sure if that...

    Impossible to install spark plugs!

So I’m thinking wow things are going so great on the reassembly of my car. Something has to go wrong this is too good. Then bam what I expected happens. So I’m about to put the new champion plugs in my 383 in which I just installed edelbrock rpm aluminum heads and finally got my tti headers...

    Exhaust Manifolds

You could probably get it ceramic coated or some other thermal barrier that would last. Problem is that if they are desirable manifolds 340 hi-po, bb a body, someone may not want them thermal coated. Otherwise no issues.

    Denting headers for clearance.

Thank you everyone for the feedback and yes the headers are uncoated so I’ll make the dings before I get them ceramic coated.

    Denting headers for clearance.

I have a question about the best way to dent my header to fit an extremely tight fit between my mini starter and my torsion bar. I had Michael Schumacher modify my drivers side tri y header I bought off a member on this site. I have to give kudos to the member that sold me the slightly used...

I thought Schumachers were bolt in and go?

So basically what happened is the exhaust that was sold to me wasn't modified by accurate but instead an amateur job. If that is the case I think that the only way to fix this is to send it to accurate exhaust and have them do it correct but how would that happen with the high temp ceramic...

I thought Schumachers were bolt in and go?

Well I'm a little upset to say the least. I spent $400.00 on used Schumachers then got them Jet hot coated for more money and they don't even come close to fitting. Looks like I'll have to get my TTI's coated again and put back on. I took them off to put the Schumachers on because I though...

I thought Schumachers were bolt in and go?

Accurate exhaust is coordinating with Schumacher to do the the 4 speed modification. I might need to contact Schumacher and Accuate exhaust to find out what the hell happened? I may have to just get my old TTI's jet hot coated and re-install. I'm very frustrated. Carl

I thought Schumachers were bolt in and go?

Well I'm doing a lot of work on my 67 GTS and I'm at a point where I'm was putting in my drivers side Schumacher Tri-y to test fit. In what alternate universe does the Schumachers bolt right in a 383 4 speed 67 Dart? I realize that Schumacher says that the header needs to be modified to work...

Connecting exhaust 2 bolt flange to 3 bolt flange

I was wondering if I could get some much needed advice. I'm swapping out my headers in my 67 GTS 4 speed. Going from tti 1 3/4" long tube headers on my 383 to tri-y schumachers. The problem is that there is a large gap between the exhaust connecting. Also now going from 2 bolt flange off of...

    '67 GTS w/exhaust tips???

I also have a 67 gts. I have the IBM card and nothing is listed about chrome exhaust tips. When I restored my GTS I researched it and I think the car is suppossed to have turned down tail pipes with no tips. I don't think tips were available on 383 cars until 68 but if the car was a real...

Whats best to clean up my headers.

I know that I've used a metal polish made by a German company called Wenol. I use it on my TTI ceramic coated headers and they clean up the pitting and rust quite well.
