    400 4 barrel swap

Cause the gaskets that he's talking about are separate from the valley pan. You can get fiber gaskets that go on the top and bottom of the valley pan and between the intake and heads. Which those work on b or rb engines but the valley pans aren't the same.

    Need Advice

Alright need a little input. I picked up a early 70's 400 out of a truck that had a 4 speed behind it. Got to lookin at some stuff and it seems as if someone (factory??) has balanced everything. Dont know if the internals were done but the balancer looks like its been balanced and so does the...

    All Downhill From Here

Ya I think the ez heads have a different angle on the exhaust side and bein a 440 its a little taller and wider. So that would change the angle a little bit. Goin to Rogersville aye..? I wouldnt mind headin out there but probably wont be able to this weekend. Good luck .

I'm runnin a Chrysler mini starter...Not 100% sure what its off of (junkyard piece). Two of the tubes needed worked to get favorable clearence around the starter...O and side note... I trimmed the primary stud on the starter to make it easier to get the nut on and off. It gets a little tight...

will a SB radiator work with RB?

All depends on the condition and size of the radiator. But I am opting for an aftermarket aluminum radiator.Guy on E bay sells aluminum rads for around $175 and around $30 shipping ...but they come with the tranny cooler built in.

    putting a 440 in my 69 340 dart

IMO if you are gonna run a 4 speed I think I would look into exhaust manifolds instead of headers. If I remember right that would prolly take less mods.Go with the Magnum b body manifolds.Just my 2 cents.

I was saying with ALL things being equal,Starting with a /6 car,7 1/4 and drums on all 4 corners,That the cost to build a sb or bb are roughly going to be the same.In order to have a good reliable car you are gonna need about the same parts. From radiator to rearends. Both will probably need...

So you want 2 go Big block...Read this first!

No thats where your wrong not all later 440's were cast crank motors...many motorhome 's had forged cranks.and as far as smog ..alot of pro's have done comparisons on later heads and found that they are very compairable to the early 906's.not all 340's where HP.Common mistake people make.IMO a...

Just out of curriosity why would a 440 out of a motor home be a far cry from a 340?I think the late modle 340's where not as durable.Think about the fact that a motor home is built to go long distances...and hall alot of weight.I just disagree.
