    Which exhaust system?

Here it is with Thrush turbo mufflers on in place of the Dynomax bullets. I think it's louder now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWVav7lwF2o

    Which exhaust system?

E-Town said "ok" to just a pair of mufflers with turndowns, so I'm going that route instead of the full exhaust. Yay, cheaper! ;-)

    Which exhaust system?

I'm checking with E-Town to see what's legal, but what I think I'm gonna do is get a pair of turbo type mufflers with a pair of turndowns after it. Slap 'em on and call it a day. As long as they've got no issue with it then I'm good, otherwise I'll have to go with the full exhaust.

    Which exhaust system?

That sounds just like what I'm looking for. I'll go with the Jeg's kit, and add a couple fo turbo mufflers.

    Which exhaust system?

I need to put a "street" type exhaust on my race car in order to run on Saturdays and in the Pinks All Out event. So I'm looking for suggestions. This car doesn't drive on the street at all, only the track 1/4 mile at a time. 3 inch? 2.5 inch? Do I need an X pipe? An H pipe? Or just a...

You need some racing association number. NHRA, NASCAR, SCCA, etc.

    Summit brand exhaust kits

FWIW, both Jegs and Summit have a "racer discount" program. I just ordered some (small) parts from Jegs, list price on one was $14.99, my price was $12.89. On the other the list was $49.98, my price was $30.09. The "Header-Back Dual 2-1/2'' Exhaust Kit" kit for my Duster lists for $189.99, my...

Does the Pypes kit bolt right up to the headers or are other pieces necessary?

    hooker comp hedders

Seeing as how you're a Mopar owner, you should already have a sufficient supply of beer on hand. The wife and kids - you're on your own with that.

    Purple Hornies

I had them on my Duster... They didn't bolt right up to the headers like they were suppoesd to, I had to have pipes made up and bent to fit below the floor. I had the Hornies on the car during this run, you can get an idea of how loud they are...

What do you use for header gaskets?

I use the Percy's dead-soft aluminum collector gaskets. They're cool, the mold themselves to the shape of the collector, they seal good. For the headers I use Fel-Pros. And they leak.

    Mufflers

I had that problem... What I did was welded a piece of 3" pipe, about 18" long to the reducers and had them bent in the middle, so they have about an 1-1/2" drop. Then my bullets are welded to the end of those pipes. The end of the muffler is about where the rear of the door is. I had to have...

    Mufflers

I've got a Flowmaster with a CarSound high-flow cat on my Ram, it sounds awesome. On my Duster I've got a pair of old Dynomax Bullets, 3" in and out. They sound good, but they slow the car down by almost half a second. I've heard that the Dynomax Ultra mufflers are like running open headers...

    Magnaflow

I've got one of their high-flow catalytic converters (marketed under the "Car Sound" brand) on my truck. It made a huge difference in the sound and performance of the truck. Simple to install, too.

When I installed Hedman's in my Duster I had pretty much the same issue. Here's what I went through: http://www.burwoodboysracing.com/header_installation.htm

    Hedman Header Installation Help Needed

Ok... Here's what I did: 1. Disconnect the battery. 2. Jack up the driver's side of the car, place a jack stand underneath the driver's side front. 3. Unbolt the motor mounts (both sides). 4. Place a block of wood on your floor jack, position the jack underneath the oil pan. 5. The...

    Hedman Header Installation Help Needed

I went through this a while back, Hedmanns on my Duster. I'll post how I did it in a little while... It was a major pain in the butt.
