    340 tunnel ram

LOL, this topic brings back a memory of a demented time. :D Back in about '93-'94, I had occasion to acquire a 440 tunnel ram and had a nice working pair of Thermoquads, so I stuck it on a stock cammed, stock springed 440, yeah, it had a very narrow useful torque curve, imagine that. But the...

Walk Me Through Fine Tuning My set up

IMHO, Reading plugs is pointless, unless you consistently use the same brand of fuel from the same fuel barrel. Pump gas is never of reliable quality and consistency for that type of rudimentary diagnosing. If it feels like it's pulling well, under load, straight to your engine's estimated...

    Vacuum Level Question

The LD4B is actually a 273/318 port intake, LD340 is the large runner style. If all you did was change the intake, I'd suspect the following: A cracked intake. A possible slipped intake gasket on install. It could possibly even be an intake that has been machined for heavily milled heads...

    Thermoquad Carb

They both are, one adjusts the left side of the carb, the other adjusts the right. They adjust the idle mixture only. Be sure the idle is under 900 RPMS, or they will not adjust correctly. Adjust for smoothest idle without a vacuum guage, or highest vacuum reading with a vacuum guage. Mark.

Hood clearance, big wrench in cog

Something has to give, either ditch the big spacer, or drop to a shorter intake. Not a damned thing wrong with "Chevyizing" or "ricing" YOUR ride, if the mods make it perform better, or correctly, with the components you want to use. You can bet the factory didn't care when they engineered...

    The '68 E.F.I. Dart's fuel system...

Here's an outline of what I did to get fuel to the E.F.I. 360 in my '68 Dart Sedan: The Magnum injection system uses a pressure bypass (bleed off) port at the pump, which means whatever residual pressure is directled at the fuel injectors at full force (@ 60 PSI). The bleed off port is for...
