my starter did the same thing after i got my verter back. changes starters smae thing. The verter shop had put a heavy coat of paint on the teeth and my starter was getting bowned up in the paint. It may be a long shot but i would check that.
Im not sure but isn't there a fuse for the turn signal. It should look like an oversized round or square fuse like a relay.
Not 100% but I would check that.
