    Was finally able to test the new ECU yesterday. All went well with lights and engagement/disengagement. It does seem to be about 5mph higher in both areas now than previous ECU when it was functioning correctly. 50mph engagement 30mph disengagement. I wish these two settings were user adjustable.

    Thanks. Warranty?? Lol. No It’s been in the car 11 years. 73 E-Body so a couple small areas in the tunnel was all that was needed to fit. One for the speedometer adapter was the biggest.

    I just updated or installed the new control unit as seen above as the old one had become erratic in auto mode. Have not drove the car yet but the lights and all seem to work correctly. Keeping my fingers crossed after reading the post above.

    That’s to close to the pan for me. TTI makes a special “H” pipe for the GVOD setup. (At least they used to for e-bodies) as I had to change mine out when I installed the GVOD 10 or so years ago. Or I guess you could do away with the crossover as suggested above.

    Well there you go. There was really not much needed for it to fit the tunnel at least in my case. The electrical is not bad, especially if you use it as just an overdrive. I know swapping to a 5-speed (Tremec) from a 4-speed was lots more work.

    It’s hard to say from the pictures. I would be more concerned with the exhaust than the tunnel. Unfortunately I don’t have access to a lift to get a similar picture for you and would hate to say something would work for sure.     Depends on what your looking to accomplish. I have a car that I converted to a 5 speed and one that has a 727 and a GVOD. If I had it to do over again on the 5 speed car I would have bolted the GV behind the 833. Why? Less to no mods to the car that take time and money. The gear splits sound...
