    Should I or Shouldn't replace t-stat ???

    Since you think it may not be operating properly and you'll be draining the fluid...at least pull it and check it's operation as bcschief suggests...I've done that in an old deep pan on the stove with tongs and a thermometer. Easy to change now if needed/desired...Good Luck!

    68 340 water pump question

    Doesn't look right. My 340 71 Duster pump looks like the one on the left. Here's how it looks in the car. Power steering is driver's side low. Timing marks low on driver's side--what inertia said x2. Radiator hose to water pump on pax side under alternator. Alt bracket uses 2 holes on water...

    Removing full heater unit

    Best to hold the rod (thru the door) with pliers while wrenching from the bottom...best to not damage the box for someone who might want it.

    Look at coolant flow that is...water pump...rad

    Take one of them big fans that blow air and chunk it in front at idle parked...if it stays hot, then you can cross off airflow and look at flow...just an idea...and cheap.

    Help with radiator

    Another idea along the airflow theme…does the fan sit IN the shroud and not BACK from it? At low rpm that could limit the airflow. If it does, a spacer should be able to get it closer…I don't know how close is too close…just an idea. The high flow water pump crossed my mind...

    overflow hose routing help

    Might check Mr G's...I heard he's out of redoing interior parts and has bought a bunch of factory OEM bolts and fasteners....he might have the clips for the radiator hose. His website is mrgusa.com

    Mine just hangs loose....not sure if that's original though. Never had a problem with it just hanging.
