Sorry. I'm referring to the wheel mounting flange. There would be three large holes in it. Or are you suggesting drill one extra hole in THAT?!

Wait. I thought 7 1/4" was a c-clip axle. Why are there bolts holding in the bearing at the flange end? I thought that was a semi-floater thing? Then there would be access/balancing holes drilled in the flange as well. That wouldn't leave much meat to re-drill five new holes...

Seriously? That makes no sense for Chrysler to have to cast two different housings for what purpose? A small housing that accepts one, maybe two, gear ratios and then you need a bigger one for the others? If that's true I wish the guy that sold me this rear would have spoken up. I was talking...

Ok new question: What does a carrier split actually mean? What dimension changes at that ratio? The differential case? The ring gear? The actual center housing? Or...?
