    Wouldn't cherry bombs and glass packs sound better on a classic V8?? An old timer told me that turbo mufflers are for tuners and new cars ......not sure if that is totally true

    jegs has some nice kits. they are made for headers but you can easily fab a piece that goes from the manifold to the start of the kit if you don't have headers. Everything else is already done for over the wheel and back and some kits include welded chamber mufflers and all for a lot cheaper...

    I have a 68 coronet and since its a bigger car than a dart I was thinking of using a 3 inch exhaust kit instead of the 2.5" is this a good idea with stock HP manifolds? Its a 440 HP from 67 with 915 heads and the goodies but to stock 67 GTX specs. Nothing wild, just a badass street car...

    if you are running an auto then there shouldn't be any problems, but if you are running a 4 speed....the Z-bar is going to complicate everything and turn a beautiful thing into a PITA

    Manifolds or stay with what I have?

    I would stay with headers ..... a good header will run laps around factory manifolds any day. problem with a lot of cars is that headers don't fit so good (BB A-body) but since you have a small block and headers will definitely fit ...then headers all the way.....let that beast breathe
