Coffee&cars, I saw your car at the Octane Nights show in Ravenna. I got your phone number off the car, need to call you someday soon to see if you offer a 'shorty' style 727 blanket like Lofgren used to sell. I believe it was 16" long.

I used Dayco C71654 for the upper, and Dayco C70664 for the lower(may need to trim it).

Just chrome hole-plugs from local hardware store. My buddy made aluminum covers for the large holes and the wiper cover.

I really do want to try installing it from the bottom some time. All the cars I've raced over the years I've honestly never had to remove a K-member or the torsion bars so I think that's what keeps me from trying it, plus I'm not real sure how to get the car high enough for the motor and trans...

Show Your Big Block A body!

I always drop big blocks into A-bodies from the top with the trans attached to the motor, it's even easier when the headers can go in last. My current Duster has headers that had to lay in there on blankets before the engine/trans was dropped in, luckily my son helped me! My other cars had...

I like that! Is that a kit or did you have to make it? A few months ago I saw a local Duster with that type of mount on the HDK k-member but I figured it was all custom made. That has to help with vibrations compared to being mounted solid.

Pretty much lol! Even worse, I think it said Driveworx on it. But as I said earlier, I use the WIX-51515.

    tunnel ram

I didn't want to change anything on it since it ran perfect at the track and clean plugs on the street. A combo like that is gonna consume some fuel either way.

    tunnel ram

I square jetted mine with no power valves, these were 750 's, custom built by Quickfuel for a tunnel ram, literally just bolted them on and they ran perfect. No bog, car ran 9.80's at 136mph. Normally ran 10.00 flat with a single Dominator before switching to the tunnel ram. The TR even ran...

My Big block A-bodies, I currently just own the green street car, the blue one and the purple one both ran in the 9's and were street driven 93 octane cars, no power adders.

Thanks! When I was building the car I had a cheap new oil filter on the shelf for a Durango, so I used it just for mockup and of course some internet dummies had to crucify me for racing with that oil filter(I never even used it), so I had to hide it in the photo. I only use a WIX-51515 filter...

    318 to 440 dart.

On my current street car I went with a nice motor plate from AR-Engineering, 400/500" low deck, and 1.75" B-body underchassis headers. The motor plate allows more room to work on headers and starter but it does rattle the car more on the street, which doesn't bother me. I also cut the factory...

Is the road race pan rectangular like a pro-touring or dragster pan? If so, that will only work with an aftermarket k-member. You might already know that, just wanted to make sure the original poster knows that.
