Funny thing is... at least around here.... 85% or better of the hotrods, muscles, etc.. run Flowmasters.... and when flowmaster came out... why is it that everyone tried duplicating that muffler ??? hmmm ? The proof is in the pudding..... I drive into a car show... and make my way through...

Flowmaster Flowmaster Flowmaster. In my opinion nothing sounds meaner, healthier, rumblier, and flat out screems like a banshee when ya release the feed tube to the engine....Wont ever put any of that other crap on a car again. been through them all.... again...its all my opinon... feel...

huh ? I agree something is wonkey here. Save yourself frustration and take it to another muffler shop and just ask this question " I dont like this set up.. what would you do differently on it?" and see what there reply is. If they say .. "looks ok to me" then you have your answer.. if they...

Dodge dakota and Durango exhaust manifolds are very free flowing and as good as the 340 manifolds.... however you have to watch for firewall clearance depending on what you are putting them in... if you cant use the 340 mans... i will buy them off ya .... ha ha -RPM

well here is mine... somewhat warmed up 360 with stock exhasut manifolds and 2 1/2 pipes to Flowmaster 40's dumped at axle.....you cant hear yourself think inside the car and well.... it sounds mean while your on it !!!! this is just at idle...

well i will throw my feelings in to. I love the flowmaster 40's, but i love the noise. I have added sound deadener under the rear seat and it helped with the internal resonance a little. for what its worth...theres my opinion.... Good luck with your decision -RPM

personally, I like it loud, got Flowmaster 40s on mine, but yes, it realy droans and vibrates the car when you bring the RPMs down. They are loud. That is a fact, but I dont think I can change them to a quiter set up....I'd probably not like it...for myself anyways.....the passenger might...

just a word from what I saw... the stock 318/360 MAGNUM manifold do not...I repeate .. do not flow anywhere close to a set of 340HP manifolds...living proof on that. -RPM

a good friend of mine owns a muffler shop. We compared the "cheapo Force" to the Flowmaster side by side. on two stock 350 Chevys. The Flowmaster was definately in my opinion and my freinds a better sounding muffler. The Force may look similar, but they are not. Still not a bad sounding...

does TTI or someone else make any repo's of the old 340 HP manifolds? just wondering.... -RPM
