    HEMI DART K FRAME

I have made these for my project. Just a few details left, like a square weld on nut and some trimming. Let me know if interested. And Mega Parts have a good price on the Motor Mounts.

Yes, I´ll relax. Just watch me. And yes, one more thing before I leave. Did you post the picture you have, of Dick Landy´s, showing seat back rest was folded? If not, do it in the thread where I claim, seats were A-100 pick-up seats you could fold, not A-100 fixed Van seats... And of cause there...

You said: "LO stated he was there right on the line and yet you don´t believe him"? Why the question mark? Well, just because you are sooo Social Media. Throwing out **** not being able to back it up. I never said anything about not believing what he (LO) said. But I think I have a good picture...

    SS Barracuda front Bumper

No, you are right, I wasn´t there… In 1968 I learned how to shoot and drive a 50 ton Centurion Tank. In 1972 at the age of 23, I started farming my parents’ place. And in the evenings, I read Car Magazines. Now hold your laughter for a while. I wasn´t there, remember… In 1976 I knew enough to...

    SS Barracuda front Bumper

A picture I recently took of Jim Kramers Barracuda. So together from what I know, what Jim Schild says and total lack of any information saying the Cuda, when leaving Lynch Road had both bumper brackets, It´s outer bumper bracket delete. And you all, how about turning this discusson around. Go...

Nice, well it´s possible Chrysler decided this wasn´t gonna work on the hevier Dart bumper. But admit it, it makes sense, Chrysler wanted to remove all weight they could, from up front. Thank you. Lets hope outhers dear to chim in...

So with this pic from a very valid car, and my first picture and together with the SS Guide, (Jim Schild) I´d say outer braket was deleted. Check...

68 Hemi Dart's at Mecum Indy

I have many pictures from 1968-69 Car Magazine articles, showing front not beeing boxed. That´s why I draw the conclusion 383 cars were chosen, because they are the only model, both auto and stick model, having only the rear boxed.

68 Hemi Dart's at Mecum Indy

If I may chime in here... Body was shiped to Hurst less engine, hood and fenders. Door on, glass out, according to Tarozzi. To my understanding, only reason we are talking 383, is this was the only modell, both auto and 4-speed cars, had rear torque boxes. Not so much, but at least some...

Yes, like autoxcuda says and cost was a big factor too. Every cent... the 270 panel would sirtenly cost less, in that for every GTS panel made, two hundred or more, 270 panles were produced...

    NHRA BO29 information from 1968

And, should I say, thanks to Hodge Restrations, we have a picture of how this warranty disclaimer looks like. I believe the only one on the internet. It´s from the restaration of Arlen Vankes Barracuda.

    NHRA BO29 information from 1968

Yes, and here is a close to exact copy, of the original, that I have made. Note font and layout of the Hurst original in the middle and second pic, and of mine to the left. The color ofcause I had no ide of, what it was like other than sort of yellow. Figured something like an antifreeze sticker...

In the SS Guide it says outer brackets were deleted. Can we nail that? Also I once read something about the brackets being made out of thinner than the OEM material? It would be nice, if we could get this relatively easy to confirme info correct, in this Forum. Don´t you think?

    MECUM DART?

I was sneaky enough to pick the rad from my ´68 SB Formula S, before it went. Looks identical exept for #031 instead of 033, the BB rad has. But guess it is not easy to find one out of a 340 car either. Think there are even alu rads with a nice OM style top can if you look around.

    MECUM DART?

Never seen this yellow sticker before. Next to the fender tag. Car was said to be so very original. Maybe it is, so what does it say? Also radiator is new to me, or did Chrysler have a couple different rads to choose from? Last pic the BB radiator you usually found when delivered from Hurst.

    Correct Super Stock Seats?

At least you recognize there were mods to the WW on the Mule, but nothing about it in your papers, good. Ok, but you don´t see a connection, between what Chrysler wanted to test, that worked and what they wanted to deliver. Good. I finaly got your oppinion. And, yes I will comment on those...

    Correct Super Stock Seats?

You are exposing your lack of insight in this matter, by comparing those cars, to the fact Chrysler wanted to test a car they knew would worked. And not deliver a deathtrap... And yes, paperworks is an important part of the history, but as we know, not every thing turned out accordningly. I´m thinking of the seat brackets and the K-member. What happened there? Can you find anything in your papers, explaning why Hurst didn´t follow the paperworks?
