Howdy neighbor!
I'm over in Live Oak, around 17th Ave. That's a beautiful automobile you have there. Glad you're going to get her Mo-power'ed again
Feel free to hit me up here at FABO if you need a hand...

Hey Conor-
It's Daniel, Darren's dad across town from ya. Welcome to FABO! Can't believe Logan didn't take the Dart with him to school! I couldn't get Darren interested in old Mopars, either. Feel free to give me a buzz if you need a hand with the Dart...
Welcome from the land of Up Over :) Hey, we get the jealousy pangs, too, when we (well, me for sure) see the Utes (a '65 for me, thx!), the 3rd generation (67+) wagons, and Hemi 6's you guys have down there. Sweet!
Nate, you lucky DAWG! Maybe not the color *I'd* want, but the whole car is just cool. I've been wondering about how one of those hood scoops would look on the early Barracuda/Valiant, and it looks straight bad *** :snakeman:
Congrats, buddy!
I dig it Chuck! I really like the sport mirrors on it, too! What did those come off of? They totally flow with the lines on the front fenders. Keep 'er rollin'!
Make that two of us, I'm with Cudaspaz on this one. With gas pushing $4/gallon, I'd cruise that /6 till it dropped (probably around 2027). Maybe an Offenhauser 4bbl/split header combo to spice things up...
I :love7: red interiors, too!
Wish that was my interior shot, ValiantMike! That one was from a Mexican Valiant Acapulco with the cool center console. Check out the links in my previous post to see what it really looks like right now (not so pretty).
Well guys-
It's here! Yep, kinda funky. Found some new rust spots/holes that I didn't see when I checked it on Thursday night (Note: DON'T buy a car that you haven't seen in the day time ), but nothing catastrophic. Teardown begins in 5...4...3...
Hey sublimeswinger-
Thanks! The guy I bought it from said it was a 318, and due to the light blue paint on the block, I'm inclined to believe him. We'll find out for sure on tear down. 65's originally came with 273's.
It's funny, I was kinda hoping for a Leaning Tower of Power /6 instead...
Absolutely! I'll get some snapped as soon as I get 'er off of the car carrier. Once I get 'er running (and safe!), I'd love to coordinate with other local A-Body Moparphiles (that's "you guys") in the Bay Area/Central Coast.
I can't wait to cruise Highway 1 to Big Sur in it come Summer '08...
Hi All-
I've been lurking these forums for a while now (but feeling kinda creepy about it, not owning an A-Body Mopar), dreaming of the day I'd finally get my hands on a '65 Valiant (best lines of any year, IMHO). Originally, I was dead set on finding a V-200 2 door, 'cause they have those...
