    Right rear sticking

So I spoke too soon... The wheel cylinder was bad, and needed replaced.. Still getting that noise from out back... It's in the rear somewhere... Not sure what's going on... Doesn't matter though.. The tranny I put in, broke... The buggy's season is over... I'm outta money to throw at the Dart...

It was the wheel cylinder. The buggy is fixed. Took her for a spirited ride tonight. No noise and no sticking

    Right rear sticking

Im hoping for the wheel cylinder to be my problem as well.. Heres how the gear swap happened.. I had a 742 case with .355's in the Dart.. My buddy had a 741 with .391's in his Cordoba... He bought a set of .430 gears but needed my 742 case... so we swapped.. I have been in his car many times...

This was the discussion tonight.. We are really leaning towards a bad wheel cylinder.. So Friday night we're gonna change it.. We have a show Saturday, so we'll see how it acts..

    Right rear sticking

The housing was messed up... The drivers side axle tube end was messed up so I had it replaced... When they jigged up the housing for the new end, they found the housing itself was bent.. Passenger side had to be straightened and trued up.. Then I switched from .355 to .391 gears...

    Right rear sticking

Well I'm not "for sure" at all... All I know is that's what it feels like.. And it is def the right side. And only after it gets hot... I have the additive in, and the right amount of gear oil..

Thing is, like I said, I replaced the shoes and cleaned the drum and even hit it with some 80 grit... The problem came right back

    Right rear sticking

I would tend to agree... only thing is the passenger side was the side that was leaking.. so, the grease in the bearing was kinda washed out by the gear oil... I looked at them, they looked ok, I didnt feel anything obviously wrong with them.. So I repacked them and slapped the axle back in...

    Right rear sticking

Gonna pull the right rear down tonight.. anyone think this could be an axle bearing issue? Would a bearing only act up when its hot? I mean I am fairly confident its a brake thing.. but just in case... lol

    Right rear sticking

I replaced the oil soaked shoes... Then cleaned the drum and hit it with some 80 grit and it's still doing this... As for axle slop, I did adjust the end play and the clip is in place.. I figured it wasn't axle slop as it only happens after it heats up.

Would a wheel cylinder only start sticking after the brakes heat up?

    Right rear sticking

Hey gang... So one of the projects this winter was getting my rear end housing fixed. When we started taking things apart we realized the right rear axle seal was leaking. So there was fluid in the drum and on the shoes. When it all went back together everything seemed fine for about 20...
