    Junkyard 360 LA Head Porting Questions

    I was running an LA 408 Stroker with 93+ magnum heads and making 443hp & 516 ftlbs on the dyno. Magnum heads flow better than LA in stock form and make good torque. You could probably do a little home porting on them and make even more power.

    As far as heads it's up to you. I like running aluminum heads and you can run a little more compression, I think iron is 10:1 and aluminum is 11:1.     Yea I ran into the same issue with one of my intakes. From 1951 to 1978 dodge used a 2.4ish inch thermostat and in 1979 they switched to the smaller 2.1" style. Just check with the parts store for one from an older year. Bring yours for reference. I'll add a link to a forum post talking about it...
