    A-body Hemi box 4 speed

Someone have trouble understanding sequential logic. I of course know Chevy would cut input-shaft, but to say he built this trans for his application is implausible . If he built this trans, by the time he dis-assembly the trans (to swap main-shaft, supposedly), he would removed the...

You were given the chance to express your opinion, and you did. Now, when I discuss with someone else I expected to hear from him, not you. You must wait for your turn, can you do that? You seem afraid of something, whats that?

Your analyzing result backward: Everything about this trans point to a Mopar factory built transmission. Your theory has a big flaw: If the Chevy guy built this trans for his application, by the time it dis-assembly he would machine the input-shaft, not cut it by chainsaw like this one.

I hear you. The trans is clearly 18 spline A-body, unless you prove it otherwise, it is 18 spline A-body. You cant just deny something existence. You're showing picture of you, I say "No, this is not you. This is something else". We dont do thing like that, do we? I'd love to hear...

I strongly disagree with the assumption that this trans was swapped. If it were aluminum , or, if have later tail-shaft, most likely it swapped. However, this trans have cast iron tail-shaft and the casting # 98126 matching the trans build date. I pretty sure this trans is Mopar factory assembly.

Barry, in my records I have seen two BO29 that have a VIN difference of 91500. B029M8B390659 offered by Russo and Steele in 2010 auction, and B029M8B299126 raced by Arlen Vanke.

Dave, I would love to hear his opinion as everyone who interested in SS/AH car. This is the only one A-body 18 spline with cast iron tail-shaft, I have ever seen.

Its hard to think someone swap to Mopar A-body tail-shaft to use in Chevy or GM car, why swap when you going to modify to fit anyway? Swapping the tail-shaft must include swapping the main-shaft, it take more work than modify the transmission mount and cross-member, who does that? Yet, check...

I dont know about that. Whats the latest SS/AH VIN you have in your record? I found this trans is very interesting, it produced in very last day for 1968 model, but still 1 week ahead of the schedule for Hemi Dart/Barracuda build date. The trans build date 2481 is May/13/1968, meanwhile...

I wonder if the original car still exist or the original engine in the market somewhere?

I picked up what I believe is a-body 18 spline used in hemi Dart/Barracuda. The input shaft was cut, probably use behind auto motor. The linkage look kind of different. Is it how super stock car set up, or they was modified for different application?
