    Umm..... What?

Quick update.. Not wanting to face the fact that I ruined a brand new converter I put in a new seal and reinstalled the damaged converter with the bolts that was to long and a lot of thread sealer. Toolmanmike was correct it did not seal. There's more pressure in there than I thought. I have a...

    Hurst quarter stick adjustment

I had alittle trouble getting mine adjusted aswell. My problem was that the dowel or peg deal at the end of the shifter cable was about a 1/8 to small for the hole in the leaver on the transmission so there was alittle bit of slop. My dad has a rubber grommet assortment so I took one that best...

    Quick flexplate question.

It's not the factory harmonic balancer I'm 100% sure on that. Lol when I get off work I'll go check it out and atleast try to get a part number off it. So suppose it is a forged crank and I get the B&M neutral balance flex plate do I still have to get a weighted (balanced) converter?

    Quick flexplate question.

I'm pretty sure it's forged crank. The motor was already built when I bought it so I'm not 100% on that.

    Quick flexplate question.

I'm having a heard time finding an off the shelf converter with the right balance weights on it. I have a mildly built 340 an 727. My question is that I see these B&M flex plates that are balanced for a 340 so do they just bolt in place of the factory flex plate and you use a neutrally balanced...

    904 Flex Plate for '72 340

I'm kinda in the same situation here. I have a mildly built 340 and 727 trans. So please tell me if I'm wrong but can you get a 340 balanced flex plate (the B&M one everybody is recommending) to replace the factory one and get a converter without the weights on it? I'm really heaving a hard time...

    Umm..... What?

I'm at work so I can't check to see the size of the bolts I used but I'm sure they are to long. As for the leak behind the converter I'll have to check that out when I pull the transmission out. Thanks everyone for the input.

    Umm..... What?

I'm sorry for the limited info. I just know that it was leaking fluid from behind the converter and when I went to unbolt the flex plate from the converter fluid poured from the bolt holes. I just need to know if i hurt the converter. (Other than having bolts that are to long) it worked just...

    Umm..... What?

Anybody know what size bolts are needed? I never had the factory bolts that's why I replaced them all.

    Umm..... What?

No I didn't tighten the bolts to spec. I haven't got the tranny out if the car yet so I'm not exactly sure. I was just wondering about the converter bolt holes leaking.

    Umm..... What?

Recently I got my motor back in the duster and got her running. Took it around the block and the tranny started to leak. It got worse and worse so I put it on jack stands and traced the leak back to the front seal. My question is that when I started taking the bolts out of the converter it...

    Kickdown cable recommendations?

Just want to hop back on the thread and say I bought a lokar cable and couldn't be happier. It is kinda on the exspencive side but when your building a mopar you kinda exspect that. It took about 15minutes to put in and about 25minutes to get adjusted properly. Highly recommend it!!

    Kickdown cable recommendations?

I have a 75 duster with 727 auto trans behind a mildly built 340. I have the transmission out of the car and it is being rebuilt. It had the original linkage style kick down on it and I was wanting to know if anyone has any recommendation for a cable style kickdown linkage. It has a edelbrock...

I'm new to the world of mopar and I need some help. I have a 75 duster with a 727 trans that is original to the car. I'm looking for a stall converter to replace the stock converter. My question is that the stock converter has the flywheel made on it and it is all one unit that bolts to the...
