OK, I'll try to send you some pics (gotta dig out the stickers). Also on my Barracuda, I had to raise the rear a little but then I modified the rear view mirror with a shorty stem to let me see what was behind me, worked out perfect......think I still have some extra shorty stems??? Of course...

Actually I was offering some of the stickers to Cherokeechief79 because he said he was building an "Old school" Barracuda. I have quite a few. But these are not original NOS stickers. They are really nice reproductions, like the one I posted. Old original reproductions lose there stickiness...

NOPE!!! Sportsman S/R 29 X 15.00 R15LTs. I moved the leaf spring "in" with the offset shackles.

Aluminum can b polished...depending on the style of rim. That's why I asked for pics. Remember that u can not post pics that r large file. I set my camera to "jpeg" setting so that the pic files r small enough to post. if u set ur camera to jpeg setting it should make it easier to post a pic.

Even back in the old days they sold this stuff that whitened the raised letters and the white walls. I think they also used to use Brillo pads to clean the white walls.

You could buy some inexpensive 1/8" spacers to give you the clearance you need, even 3/16" wouldn't hurt anything back there??? Treblig

I believe they were 3 3/4" BS (I'd have to check??) but I did have to move the springs with the offset shackles. I was going for the 60s street car look. Some FABO members don't like the "jacked-up" look but after crawling under cars for 60 years it really gets old having to get the jack out...

I would use coupling nuts so that you grab more threads decreasing the chances of stripping any threads on the stud!! I go the local spring shop and get the long nuts that are used on the axle U bolts, they are hardened and hold up real good for pulling studs.

FYI - If you use loctite then re-torque at a later date you'll have re-apply the loctie because if the nut moves at all the loctite seal/bond will be broken.

I used 4 1/2" X 4 3/4" dual bolt pattern wheels on my Barracuda

Like everyone and myself have written, you get a piece of 1/8", 3/16" or 1/4" flat stock and install it in front of the front spring bracket (perch). You'll have to drill 4 holes in the flat stock to sandwich it between the bracket and the body. I did that when I put monster tires on my '69...

1/2" is pretty close, you know you can easily move the tire aft with a 1/8" or 3/16" shim. Treblig

I bought a spare rim with the dual bolt pattern to solve my problem. I have the large bolt pattern on the front of my Cuda (4 1/2") and a Chevy 10 bolt rear end (4 3/4"). The spare rim has both bolt patterns and I'm happy!! treblig
