Depends on the job you're doing and the results you want. Personally, I would steer clear ( no pun intended) of rattle clear. It has a tendency to flake within months.

450 is a bit much. ask around here. someone will have one for less.

Okay, so I have a stupid question. If you shoot something like an engine bay, how do you cut and buff? Do you have to do the same buffing for single stage AND base/clear?

Take the door panel off and look at the regulator. Chances are that the scissor arms are gunked up real bad or have corrosion. Clean them up and lube them with white lithium grease.

base/clear. that's what i did my bike in and what i'm going to do for my dart. single stage inside the car, but 2 stage out. most clears now have UV protection to save your paint. if it fades, either cut/buff, or sand/ respray. a lot less time on upkeep.
