Thanks for the input bud. Yea I have used both TTI and Doug's in the past, but for this project it's all about low budget fun.

I know they are junk... but they were brand new and free.., so before I decide to put them in I thought I would get some input. They are going on my 318 with a 3 speed.

Those are "Shorty" headers. The others are full length and a quite different. Appreciate the reply.

Anyone have these on their car with a 4-speed? And if so.. How do they fit? I picked up a set new in the box for $100.00 and thinking of putting them on my 318.

I wrap the headers in "Shrink wrap" that way the don't scratch the inner fenders. I also like to pull the center link. A good floor jack and a slice of 2x4 under the oil pan.

Funny because they are louder... But a better lounder, I like the sound and there for my brain tells me i can feel and hear the difference especially with the X-Pipe... You can hear the frequency change around 3000rpm.. Sounds aweseome. I love them.

So i replaced the Dynomax Super-turbos out late yesterday for the Dynomax Ultraflows.. All i can say is that.. "Best Dam sounding mufflers on a 340 i ever heard" I have Doug's headers with a 2.5" TTI X-Pipe with full tailpipes, sounds the way a Mopar should, nice and crisp with the right Bass...

If you have 74 Spool-mount K-Frame... Should be ok. I have a /6 k-frame with schumauker conversion mounts .890 bars. Lots of room. Also your K- frame placed the engine higher and to the rear, my guess is you should be ok. I like the Dougs Headers except the #8 tube is to close to inner for my...

Just did some research my self. Turns out 1993 318 light duty truck exhaust manifolds are "Rear dump" and flow exceptionaly well too. Should be an easy junk yard find.

The Ultraflo's are the best sounding mufflers I have ever had. They sound deep and clean with no sewer pipe crackle. The Thrush "Weled" sound excellant as well and are half the money of Flowmasters, altho I heard they are not making them any more....
