What's wrong with the 318? They can be great, reliable, reasonably economical, and reasonably powerful engines for a nice period cruiser.

Just Bought a 65 Barracuda that sat for over 20yrs.

Get your hand up inside the vent box and check for cowl rust. AZ climate may have speared it. I'd check anyway.

BTW- that's what happens when your film developer (remember those) has a policy to "auto crop" every image. I guess 99.9% of their customers couldn't fill the frame and no one bothered to check to see if a crop was actually necessary.

    regarding full synthetic oil

I initially ran Castrol 20/50 in my 70 Super Bee and found that it broke down relatively quickly. The lifters started chattering before I thought a change was due. In my quest to resolve that somewhat chronic issue, I tried Valvolne and it lasted MUCH longer. That's what sold me on that brand...

...and T B3, because it's earlier than when colors started using the alpha character for paint...but IIRC would be earlier than A which is 1964 (even though paint didn't get the letter designation like engines did until 1969[E]). I see the tag in the OP, but of course, can't read it. Be super...
